First-Ever Whitney Houston Live Album Slated For Release in November; Record To Show 'There Was No One Like Her'

The first-ever Whitney Houston live album has been slated for release in November and Clive Davis, the person who discovered Houston, promised it to be a testament to why "there was no one like her."

The Whitney Houston live album was announced on Tuesday by music mogul and Sony Music Entertainment chief creative officer Clive Davis on the "Today" show's segment with Kathie Lee and Hoda Kotb.

"She was without question the greatest vocalist in the in the world," Davis said.

He also described what fans can expect from the album, saying: "It definitely shows why she was totally unique, absolutely in the first rank of all time. For me, it's been very emotional. The set vividly confirms that there really was no one like her. It also makes the tragedy of losing her so young so very painful."

"[It] shows why she is at the absolute historic top rank up there with Aretha Franklin and Barbra Streisand as the greatest singers of our lifetime," he continued. "It really has been a labor of love on my part to go thorugh every concert performance, every TV appearance."

Apart from a live confirmation by Davis, the album and DVD of Houston's live performances slated to be released after the singer's demise was also posted on the "I Will Always Love You" singer's Facebook page.

The statement on the page said: "IT'S OFFICIAL! Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances, to be released on Monday November 10th as CD and CD/DVD. This is the first-ever live album and features the most unforgettable performances, reinforcing her as one of the greatest vocalists of all time" alongside a video giving a preview of the album.

The Whitney Houston live album will reportedly include the extraordinary singer's performances on "The Merv Griffin Show" and "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

Houston died in February 2012 at the age of 48.
