FOX CEOs are "thinking about" the right timing for Jack Bauer's return in "24: Live Another Day" season 2, or a "24" season 10 renewal. Imagine chairman Brian Grazer was also recently quoted saying he's "particularly keen" on the possibility of a "24" movie.

According to Flickering Myth, FOX CEOs Gary Newman and Dana Walden addressed rumors that "24: Live Another Day" was being renewed for season 2, or a "24" season 10 renewal, at the Fall Launch party last week:

"We are talking about it, thinking about when would be the best opportunity for it. We are checking with our creative partners how much enthusiasm they have for doing another installment. We were really pleased with this past season, just thought creatively it was top-notch. That was a great reward to the fans of the show who were ready to see more episodes of Jack Bauer, and it was a great financial endeavor for all of us - especially when you look at our businesses holistically, where it gave FBC a real shot in the arm in terms of ratings and viewers who were circulating on our network well into summer, and the studio, which made a lucrative SVOD deal around the event of bringing the show back."

This isn't the first time there's been positive response to the idea of "24: Live Another Day" season 2.

"I loved this year's season of '24,'" Fox Networks Group Chairman CEO Peter Rice said in July. "I've always been a fan. We haven't had a specific conversation about it coming back yet, but I'm sure we will in the future. It's a wonderful franchise. When you look at the show itself, it has many more stories to tell. I think we need to sit down and talk to the creators."

According to TVLine, Imagine Entertainment Chairman Brian Grazer is said to be "particularly keen" on the idea of a "24" movie.

"The film's an ongoing situation," Jack Bauer actor Kiefer Sutherland said last winter. "There's always an opportunity to do that."
