Upcoming Blackberry Phones 2014: New Porsche Design P'9983 Is A Luxury Device That Brings The Best Of Both Worlds - Touch And Type

If you are an avid fan of Blackberry and you're looking for upcoming Blackberry phones for 2014, then it's good to know that there are already a couple of those which are headed for the market.

The Blackberry Passport and Classic have one thing in common - they both pack a touch and type function. While the Passport has more screen real estate for touch functions and a more cramped QWERTY keypad, the Classic gets the traditional layout and size of the keypad, but with a smaller screen.

In terms of design, both handsets look decent, though the Passport certainly has a unique feel to it, thanks to a 1440 x 1440 resolution.

But in case you are looking for a far superior Blackberry device in terms of design, then you're in for a treat.

The Canada-based manufacturer has just announced its new Blackberry Porsche Design P'9983 which screams premium from all angles.

The device is pretty sleek looking, and it has some nice colored accents to add the premium effect. The Blackberry P'9983 packs a 3.1-inch display with HD (720x 720) resolution, 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera at the back and a 2MP front snapper.

Also on board is a 64GB of built-in memory with an option for expansion via the provided microSD card slot. The phone also supports 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and GPS.

Unfortunately, the device only boasts an old Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus chipset, which has a dual-core CPU clocked at 1.5GHz.

At the back of the smartphone is a specialized glass panel to provide plus points in the aesthetics department.

In the report, the Blackberry Porsche P'9983 will make its debut in early October. Unfortunately, pricing details have not been revealed just yet.
