Fans of the horror-adventure-survival video game, "Last of Us" will be thrilled to know that the franchise is considering of bringing it into the big screen.

Last of Us video game takes over the gaming industry most especially the Playstation 4 since its released in the market last June 2013.

Game Creator Neil Druckmann confirmed IGN that it will indeed hit the big screen, "It's an adaptation of the story of the Last of Us. As far as where we go and how we make it fit into a film, how it takes into account the unique properties of film... We're not sure yet. We're only just scratching the surface."

After Druckmann's confirmation, fans started to speculate on whose actor is going to portray as Joel and Ellie in the movie.

Fan-made photo of Gerard Butler as Joel has been spreading in the internet. Butler is one of the lead actors in the movie "300".

Naughty Dog, Last of Us game developer announced that DLC add-ons for PS3 will be released within the year. This announcement is also confirmed by Druckmann. However, Naughty Dog's announcement that the upcoming downloadable content would only be dedicated for the multiplayer mode has not been confirmed yet.

On the other hand, the Remastered Last of Us for the PS4 would be having the current DLC add-ons once the game has been released with the title "Left Behind."

Digital Spy reported that Arne Meyer, community strategist claimed that there won't be any campaign for now.

"We just wanted to say when we released the Remastered version, we know there's a lot of DLC out there, and that we weren't going to stop supporting both the PS3 and PS4 versions. We do have some DLC planned, it'll be multiplayer focused. We're not ready to talk about the details yet, but throughout the rest of the year we'll have some DLC drops."

The Last of Us movie will surely be a hit especially because of its zombie-survival plot.
