'Faking It' Season 2 Spoilers: Lauren Is Intersex Says Carter Covington

The Faking It season 2 is coming, and some spoilers have been released.

The Faking It season 2 spoilers include the reason why Lauren is popping a pill.

In an interview conducted by Entertainment Weekly disclosed that Lauren was taking hormone pills because she's Intersex.

According to Inter/Act Youth, an organization that spreads awareness of the intersex community define the term as "when the biological sex doesn't neatly fit into the male or female binary," or a person born with different male and female characteristics.

In the interview, Covington explained that he and the writers decided early in the first season to make Lauren (played by Bailey Buntain) intersex, saying, "I knew I didn't want Lauren to just be the girl who comes in and says b----y things, since our show is called 'Faking It,' we were talking about what Lauren could be faking or hiding, what could be inside her that makes her this tough-as-nails, hyper-feminine character, and Intersex came up."

"I wanted Lauren to be woven into the show in a deeper way, this has enabled us to do all of those things," Covington added.

Covington also revealed some Faking It season 2 spoilers saying that there are scenes where all of the characters are together in the show.

Furthermore, Lauren (played by Bailey De Young) is quite excited on the upcoming season of Faking It saying, "I was really excited and honored to play someone with that type of condition because it's not super common on TV."

The Faking It season 2 is set to premiere on Tuesday, September 23 at 10:30PM ET on MTV.
