Kylie Minogue Nick Cave Reunite After 10 Years in New Movie; Would Nick Cave Record With Kylie Minogue? `Sure, Why Not,’ Cave Says

Kylie Minogue Nick Cave Reunion: Ten years after Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue performed their acclaimed music duet, "Where The Wild Roses Grow," the two singers have reunited in Cave's new movie, "20,000 Days on Earth." This might not be an isolated incident. The former Bad Seeds frontman also talked about recording with the "Can't Get You Out of My Head" singer. The thought has our world spinning around.

Kylie Minogue reunited with Nick Cave in "20,000 Days On Earth." Kylie put in a cameo appearance in a  part documentary, part fictional drama that charts a day in Cave's life.

Rock star Nick Cave has been proclaiming how special it was to reunite with Kylie Minogue and when asked by Digital Spy whether he would be interested in writing a whole album with Kylie, he replied "With Kylie? Yeah, why not!"

Does that mean there might be a Nick Cave featuring Kylie record, or would Cave and his partner Warren Ellis back Kylie on a record?

"I would be interested in writing a Kylie record - not performing on it - but writing a Kylie record. And the musicians she'd use would be the musicians she'd normally use. I think that would be quite good fun, because I don't really know how to write that sort of music, it might be fun to give that a go. Not that it's going to happen," Cave told Digital Spy.

Nick Cave opened up to Digital Spy about casting Ray Winstone, Blixa Bargeld and Kylie Minogue in "20,000 Days on Earth. "They wanted something to do with acting. I think they wanted two people to discuss the idea of being seen and the difference between a rock star and being an actor. Ray is interesting because he's one of these wonderful character actors that really are who you think they are," Cave told the British Magazine.

"A lot of actors aren't," Cave added. "You can't believe that you're meeting the person who played this person when you actually meet them. But Ray is just the way you think Ray is. So he was a great candidate. And Kylie, we're just friends who hadn't seen each other in a long time."

Kylie chats with Nick in a car about old times in "20,000 Days on Earth." Cave remembered what it was like to work with Minogue. "When we first did the thing, we had no idea if she could come and sing the song with me," he told Digital Spy. "And she jumped at it to do it, and she brought this kind of light into our lives for a few months. So it was really meaningful for us, and she got something from it as well. And then we kind of drifted apart. We moved on and she went on to do whatever it is that she does."

"Where Wild Roses Grow" was directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard.

Earlier this year Kylie joined Coldplay on stage for a show in Sydney, Australia. Minogue and Chris Martin teamed on the murder ballad "Where The Wild Roses Grow" and Kylie's hit "Can't Get You Out if My Head."
