Apple Redefines Its Approach To Privacy With iOS 8!

The recent iCloud hacking scandal was a major blow to Apple's reputation. Learning from its mistakes, the iOS 8 is a major improvement over its predecessors. In a detailed letter addressed to its global customer base, Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple said that new iOS 8 will encrypt all the content stored on your iPhones making it impossible to unlock it even in response to government warrants. This amendment is expected to address the concerns of thousands of customers worried about their privacy being put on stake each time they use the iPhone. The letter is a part of the newly launched website by Apple.

Further on, the letter clearly outlines the concerns of Tim Cook about tech companies collecting personal information of customers and selling them to different organizations. In his letter, Tim Cook is seen drawing sharp contrasts to several competitors including Facebook and Google that are known to use customer data to target their advertising campaigns for other brands. He said that this makes the customer a product and therefore intrudes upon their privacy. With this new operating system, Apple will not be able to bypass the password of its customers and therefore have no access to any of the content that they store on their iPhones. Experts also see this move by Apple as a hard line on the recent increase in government surveillance.

his move is expected to rebuild the reputation of Apple that received a major set-back after the infamous leak of intimate photos of celebrities from their iPhones. The release of this letter also comes at a time when Apple is all set to aggressively begin its foray into new areas like tracking health information, mobile payments and online service for kids; areas that require it to maintain a strong bond of trust amidst the public.
