The Veronicas 2014 comeback has officially begun as the Australian duo released the music video for their song "You Ruin Me."

The video for The Veronicas 2014 comeback song after two years of going on a hiatus was reportedly inspired by the Natalie Portman starrer "Black Swan."

Twenty-nine-year-old twins Jessica and Lisa Origliasso released the video for The Veronicas 2014 to their first ever ballad song, which was written with DNA Songs (which is composed of David Musumeci and Anthony Egizii).

Jessica explained in a previous statement why they decided to finally come out with a ballad. "We have never released a ballad before as a single but it's time to not do what people expect. I listen to the radio a lot and can't stand half the shit I hear because it is contrived and geared towards an image rahter than the enjoyment of music."

The video was reportedly shot at Sydney's State Theatre and showed a bunch of ballerinas and their instructor. It was posted on YouTube on Tuesday, with a simple caption saying "We're back!"

In a previous report, the twins spoke about the first single from their latest album after being on hiatus for close to a decade.

"This song was written and recorded at 1 am in the throes of emotion," the duo said. "We reworked it only a handful of times, leaving it in the raw state it was created."

"We have never been afraid to write from our hearts, and there is something that captures us when writing about heartbreak that we will always want to share. Because in the places we are broken, these are the places we learn to become the strongest. This is our time of rebirth," they added.

"We are in such a great place now as far as being artists and being comfortable as women, and this song was the last piece of the puzzle to say goodbye to the broken parts of ourselves," said Jessica.

The new song is their latest musical effort after parting ways with their former label Warner Music and signing under Sony Music.
