Kim Kardashian Wants to Klass Up Her Act With a Spot on `Downton Abbey'; `Keeping Up With The Kardashians' Star Wants To Follow George Clooney But Not Downstairs to the Servants Chambers

Kim Kardashian may add some klass to her TV appearances with a cameo appearance on the British TV hit "Downton Abbey." The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star learned that George Clooney will be appearing on the "Downton Abbey" Christmas special and wants to follow in the former "Roseann" star's footsteps.

But Kanye West's wife says trading in Los Angeles for Britain's Highclere Castle would be a labor of love.

"I'm a big fan, I'd love to be on it if they asked," Kardashian told Britain's The Sun newspaper. "I love things like that."

According to the Sun, the reality TV star already reached out to Laura Carmichael, who plays Lady Edith Crawley on "Downton Abbey."

The Sun reported that George Clooney got his spot on "Downton Abbey" because of his friendship with Hugh Bonneville, who lays Robert Crawley. Clooney already shot his guest appearance which "Downton Abbey" is producing for an upcoming ITV's charity event Text Santa. According to reports, Clooney will play an American who attends a wedding at Highclere Castle.

A source told the Sun that "All the plans have been shrouded in secrecy because George was determined for his role not to leak out."

Laura Carmichael, who plays Lady Edith on "Downton Abbey," said Clooney was "hilarious" on the set. Though she said Dame Maggie Smith appreciated it more than anyone.

Speaking to the media outlet Morning, Carmichael said "We didn't even know if it would actually happen until he turned up. We were filming away and then heard 'he's here, he's here, he's arrived'... But he was wonderful and so brilliant and I'm very excited for everyone to see it."

This isn't the first time Kardashian has put in cameos. She appeared on "2 Broke Girls," "Drop Dead Diva," "Brothers," "Beyond the Break," and won a Razzie for Worst Supporting Actress for her appearance in Tyler Perry's "Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor." She also appeared in the spoof comedy 'Disaster Movie' in 2008.

No word yet on whether producers will offer Kardashian a role, but Kim might want to skip those last two in her audition.

'Downton Abbey' will return to British TV on Sunday, Sept. 21,  for season 5.
