HitFix reports that the British Academy of Film and Television Arts in Los Angeles (BAFTA Los Angeles) has announced that this year's recipients of the Britannia Awards will include Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Emma Watson, Dame Judi Dench, and Mike Leigh. Each year, BAFTA Los Angeles honors "individuals who have dedicated their careers to advancing the art forms of the moving image in the U.S., U.K. and beyond."

The Britannia Awards first commenced in 1989, when James Bond producer Albert "Cubby" Broccoli earned the first Britannia award. HitFix reports that recent Britannia award winners include Tilda Swinton, George Clooney, Quentin Tarantino, and Christopher Nolan.

According to TV By the Numbers, British actor and comedian Rob Brydon will host the annual show for the second year in a row on Thursday, October 30, 2014. The show will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and will be broadcast for the third consecutive time on BBC America. The show will air on Sunday, November 2 at 9pm ET.

BBC America has commented, "We are thrilled to partner once again with BAFTA Los Angeles to bring this outstanding event to our BBC America audience. The Britannia awards have become one of the most prestigious events in Hollywood, and this year's line-up of honorees continues that proud tradition."

Britannia Award co-chairs Buble Ward and Deborah Kolar stated, "In an era defined by nearly unlimited content, it is more important than ever to celebrate outstanding creative achievement. This year the Britannias will again reward the most exciting global filmmakers and artists who have added to the lasting legacy of great entertainment," conveying their excitement for the show and admiration for the honorees.

Robert Downey Jr. will receive this year's Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film, and Emma Watson will receive The Britannia Award for British Artist of The Year Presented by Burberry.
