Mayweather is reportedly going with a new team in his next match in 2015.

In a report by Yahoo! Sports, Mayweather seems to be planning to make huge changes in his team, particularly replacing Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions and the boxer's longtime friend. Ellerbe was not present at Mayweather's side during the September 13, 2014 bout against Marcos Maidana.

Mayweather said that he and Ellerbe may have outgrown each other. However, he made it clear that Al Haymon was going to stay with his camp. The undefeated American stated, "When May comes around and you guys see All Access in May, I'll have a totally new team and probably a totally new staff." He added, "We may make a lot of changes in my team, but Al Haymon ain't going nowhere."

According to Sports Illustrated, the possible parting of Mayweather and Ellerbe may also be triggered by the failure of the former to accomplish his objectives with Mayweather Promotions. Ellerbe was more focused solely on Mayweather news 2014 than his entire organization.

Other successful boxing promoters were proactive with the media and made big deals with networks. Their website, Mayweatherpromotions.com, indicated that there are 12 fighters in its rosters with two more slated to sign in September 2014. However, only Mayweather and Mickey Bey are world champions. Allegedly, Mayweather news 2014 includes plans to revamp his company to remain the biggest attraction in boxing.

There are rumors that Richard Schaefer is the most likely successor of Ellerbe if he departs. Schaefer previously transferred from Top Rank to Golden Boy Promotions, owned by Oscar De La Hoya and helped transform the company into one of the premiere promoters in the world.

Schaefer and Golden Boy are currently having a fallout so it is highly possible that Mayweather might scoop him out to improve his company.
