Dwight Howard News: Houston Rockets Center Gets His License Suspended For Road Violations, Fails To Pay 26 Tickets!

In the latest Dwight Howard news, it appears that the Houston Rockets center is still paying after leaving Orlando.

The 6'11 center's Florida license was suspended for failing to pay a total of 26 tickets, which were issued to him in the Orlando area from 2004 to 2012. The 26 violations consist of 12 tickets for failure to pay highway tolls, 10 tickets for beating red lights and 4 tickets for speeding, based on a report by Yahoo! Sports.

According to TMZ Sports, Howard has been running red lights 10 times already since 2012, which means that he was already a Houston Rockets player at the time. He was issued nine tickets in Florida over a 10-month period then was violation-free for one and a half years.

His most recent violation was on July 1, 2014. Bleacher Report wrote that his license was suspended since August 15 at least for paying to pay a fine of $285 for running a red light in April. There was also another citation in Orlando court records that Howard failed to change the address on his driver's license.

Dwight Howard news showed that he earned over $123 million since the start of his career with the Orlando Magic and is bound to earn at least $21 million every year since his transfer to Houston. A mere $285 fine would be very easy for him to manage. Until then, officials of the Orange County Clerk of Courts said that his license cannot be reinstated.

It is unlikely that Howard's game will be affected by his license suspension. According to NBA.com, he averaged 26 points and 13 rebounds per night in the 2014 playoffs and recently announced that he was the best center in the NBA. Dwight Howard news cited that he remains confident in his ability to push the Rockets to the 2015 playoffs together with guard James Harden.
