T-ARA, What the Members Really Think About the Increase in Number of Members

T-ARA, who started as a 6-member group in 2009, is becoming a 9-member group this year.

In 2010, they gained Hwayoung as a new member, and Ahreum joined for the new song "Day by Day" released on 3rd of this month. Dani will be joining at the end of this year, so the group will become a 9-member group.

It's inevitable to think that the addition of members means replacing the current members. On the 26th, in the press conference for the Budokan Japanese concert, Soyeon said, "I don't worry too much about our singing part being reduced as a result. When it came to part distribution, we have been fair since our debut, so we've stood in the middle of the stage at least once taking our turns."

But that doesn't mean the addition of members brings no inconvenience at all. Soyeon said, "Until now, every time any member could not make to any event, we had to make different versions of our songs. Now that we have 9 members, we're going to have that many versions."

She continued, "Because we have so many different versions, it takes a lot of effort and time. We are enduring mentally, but because it's complicated, we get confused and forget."

Eunjung said, "Ahreum already has the basics for dancing and singing. She also has good manners and has deep thoughts. She's been learning all the dances very quickly as well."

Lastly, Hyomin said, "I think we are a group that has the ability to embrace anything. If we were a group that had a specific and unique color musically, it would have been hard to add members. But because we have the ability to embrace new members, I think we're able to show different sides of us."
