James Harden Video: Shooting Guard Tries To Do The Carlton Dance And Embarrassingly Fails [WATCH]

A James Harden video showed that the leader of Team USA is no Carlton Banks.

In an article by Bleacher Report, the shooting guard was hanging out with Alfonso Ribeiro, who built a reputation for playing Carlton Banks on the 90s hit show "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air". A video by The Fumble showed Ribeiro teaching Harden how to do the Carlton dance to the tune of "It's Not Unusual" by Tom Jones. However, the 6'6" guard struggled much and was simply terrible.

Ribeiro admitted that he last did the Carlton dance on the show 20 years ago. The real life Carlton Banks was a bit rusty but still had the moves. Harden, on the other hand, had no excuse. Some fans defended that at least he got to lead the American team to another gold medal at the recent 2014 FIBA tournament in Spain.

In a report by CBS Sports, James Harden has been the center of scrutiny in the past year. Basketball enthusiasts particularly made fun of the minimal effort he puts in his defense. More criticisms followed after reports emerged that he and Rocket teammate Dwight Howard were aloof and isolated themselves from the rest of the team. It also did not help his cause much when he declared that he was the best basketball player alive.

His new video is expected to go viral again, to be used as fodder by fans who wish that he could use some humility. It is a fact that Harden is one of the best players in the NBA today, although unlikely the best, according to USA Today. He and Howard are expected to be the centerpieces of the Houston Rockets in the upcoming NBA season. Harden has the leadership but he needs more defensive awareness in the same way that he needs more dance lessons.
