Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan may be reuniting on screen. The last time we saw Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai together onscreen was in Sanjay Leela Bhansalis "Devdas" in 2002. But action-comedy director Rohit Shetty was spotted meeting with Rai and speculation is ripe.

Shetty is already on record as saying he plans to work with Khan on as many as nine films.

India TV posted August news that quoted Rohit as saying, "So as per the reports, I am doing as many as nine films with Shah Rukh. I'd like to put all rumours to rest and say that only Shah Rukh has confirmed for my next film. No one else has been roped in as of now. The pre-production for the film has already started and it will go on floors next year."

Absolute India reported that Shah Rukh Khan approached Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to play a role in the director Rohit Shetty's next project. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will star alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Based on their past pairing Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan promise to sizzle together in Rohit Shetty's next movie.

After a sabbatical of four years, Aishwarya Rai will next be seen on the big screen in Sanjay Gupta's film "Jazbaa" which also stars Irrfan Khan.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's comeback film "Jazbaa" hasn't even been released yet and it is already being eclipsed by anticipation that audiences will see Shah Rukh and Aishwarya Rai together again on the big screen.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will reportedly play the heroine in the new movie. According to rumors, Rohit met with Aishwarya to discuss the script. Aishwarya and Shah Rukh Khan haven't been paired together since Sanjay Leela Bhansali's blockbuster "Devdas." The news joins reports that  the new Shah Rukh Khan film will also star Kajol in Rohit Shetty's upcoming film.

The new movie will be Shah Rukh and Rohit's second project. In 2013 Rohit starred in the superhit "Chennai Express," which starred Deepika Padukone. Director Rohit Shetty's newest film is the blockbuster "Singham Returns" starring Ajay Devgn.

In 2000, Shah Rukh and Aishwarya were featured together as siblings in the film "Josh." Aishwarya put in a cameo appearance in Shah Rukh Khan's film "Mohabbatein," which co-starred Amitabh Bachchan. Rai also appeared in Shah Rukh Khan' film "Shakti." Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were a Bollywood phenomenon after they played together in  Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2002 magnum opus "Devdas."

Aishwarya Rai is internationally known as "most beautiful woman in the world."
