Google has not released yet the official release information for the Android 4.5 or 5.0 L but a report on Gotta Be Mobile noted that the search engine giant is also busy working on its descendant, which is likely to be the Android M. The post also noted that tech fans can expect Android M release date to happen within 2015.

As for the possible name for Android M, the firmware might be called M&M, Marshmallow, Mousse, or Molassess, since the previous Android operating systems are named after a sweet treat.

Meanwhile, Android 4.5 or 5.0 L release date nears with speculations suggesting that it might be available this fall, particularly middle part of October.

International Business Times' reported that the Android 5.0 L will initially be exclusive for AndroidOne, Google Play edition models of smartphones, and of course, the Nexus devices. Afterwards, the new OS will be released for other mobile devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S5.
