Upcoming Blackberry Phones 2014: Is Blackberry Slowly Rising From The Ashes?

Blackberry is one of the most feel-good stories we have witness recently, and after everything it has gone through, it is not difficult to admire the new management that runs the entire company.

CEO John Chen has worked wonders with the Canada-based manufacturer, which initially worked with Foxconn in developing new smartphones.

While the company has released a number of midrangers earlier this year, the most notable is certainly the new Blackberry Passport, the smartphone that boasts an odd design.

The device packs a 3.5-inch square display with 1440 x 1440 resolution, a Snapdragon 800 chipset, and 2GB of RAM.

What makes the Passport stand out though is its touch and type features. The QWERTY keypad may be cramped but it still looks great, and certainly refreshing in this generation where touch-only smartphones rule.

However, in a recent report, it looks like Blackberry will be banking on the upcoming success of the Passport in developing new phones.

With that, we better not be surprised if the Canadian manufacturer develops and releases more of these oddly-designed handsets.
