Upcoming Motorola Phones 2014: Rumored Moto S Midranger Tipped To Be A Verizon Exclusive?

Last week, there were rumors that a couple of upcoming Motorola phones are headed for the latter part of 2014, and are dubbed the Moto S and Droid Turbo.

Unfortunately, it looks like both devices will be available and exclusive to only one local carrier.

While the Droid Turbo is already a given to be hit Verizon due to the Motorola's Droid lineup offered by the carrier, a new report claims that the Moto S will also be exclusive to Big Red.

According to a report by Phone Arena, Korean website TK Tech News reports that the Moto S will be exclusive for Verizon, but only for a short time.

Last year, the manufacturer launched the Moto X exclusively for AT&T as well as the Moto Maker, but the phone was only an AT&T exclusive for two months. This may also be the case with the Moto S.

In the report, the Moto S will boast the same specs as the new upcoming Nexus 6 from Motorola and Google. That just means the Moto S will also boast the same 5.9-inch QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution screen, Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB of RAM and an OIS powered 13MP shooter at the back.

The only reported difference between the two is the huge Motorola logo at the back of the Moto S, while Nexus will probably get the Nexus branding.

As the year comes to a close, it is turning out to be a race of releases for the best Android smartphones. Both the Moto S and Nexus 6 will be unveiled this month according to rumors.
