As the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire special live stream continues to air, Mega Rayquaza has been confirmed through a new trailer video.

A special live stream featuring Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire ran October 2 starting at 5:00 a.m. EST. This live stream streamed on NicoNico as well as YouTube. Through its promise that new information on Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be revealed, Mega Rayquaza was unveiled to the delight of fans.

Reportedly, Mega Rayquaza holds a new Ability called Delta Stream, which creates a new weather effect that projects Flying-type Pokemon. In the trailer featuring Mega Rayquaza also shows a new move called Dragon Ascent.

Knowing that Rayquaza has a Mega Evolution is interesting as the other two legendary Pokemon of Ruby and Sapphire—Groudon and Kyogre—have Primal Evolutions, which is purported to be something entirely different.

"I wonder if Rayquaza will still get a Primal too," commented Chris Bermejo on YouTube.

According to the official Nintendo press release, Primal Reversion occurs when "Groudon and Kyogre reclaim their original power from nature’s energy and obtain even greater power than they already have. The power within Primal Reversion is still being discovered, as well as what connection may lie between Primal Reversion and Mega Evolution."

And yet, Rayquaza is said to have a deep connection to Mega Evolution, so how Primal Reversion and Mega Evolution is connected in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire remains to be seen.
