iPhone 6 Release Date Will Be Massive In China, Already Had 2 Million Reservations In 6 Hours

A few weeks ago, there were some worries in mainland China that it will not be one of the countries which would be getting the iPhone 6 release date this year.

Some reports even claimed that the Asian country could get the device as late as next year.

However, when Apple announced that the device will be unveiled on October 17, and only a few weeks from the initial release date of the smartphones, the Chinese mobile market went wild.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, only 6 hours after reservation orders have been opened, 2 million consumers have already shown their interest in getting the device.

In the report, the 64GB models of both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have garnered the highest number of reservations.

Considering that China has more than a billion population, two million is just nothing. However, this is certainly great news for Apple as the Asian market does not seem the least bothered about the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus' 'bendgate' scandal.

The approval of the Chinese government for Apple to ship and sell its devices in China is just spot on, as the company has had a minor setback in the past couple of weeks.

In a video uploaded on YouTube, the user was able to bend the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 easily by using his bare hands. It started the #bendgate scandal on Twitter and other social media websites.

Apple's competitors used the incident to throw some witty messages and posts to the Cupertino manufacturer. But in the middle of all these scuffles, Apple was still able to secure the certification from the Chinese agency to secure their coverage of the biggest smartphone market in the world.
