Black-ish Episode 2: Ratings Drop; Gets Accused As Racist By Donald Trump

"Black-ish" debuted to a good start but did not fare as well when week 2 came. The ABC comedy about a black family and their struggle with connecting to their heritage reportedly fell 24 percent in ratings from its premiere.

According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, "Black-ish" opened with 6.6 million viewers but its second episode only got 2.5 million.

The show's second episode tackled "The Talk," which most parents go through when their child is on their teens or when they deem it necessary. There are different ways to go about the famous discussion but Andre's take on it was poor.

Andre walks in on Andre Jr. "having a dance by himself." Out of shock, Andre decides to talk to his son about the birds and the bees. But much to his surprise, Andre Jr. has already been through the talk with Rainbow.

Andre is firm on having a discussion about his son but messes things up. Meanwhile, Rainbow tries to ask Zoe to open up. She becomes successful with her attempt but gets overwhelmed by the fact that she was able to prod her daughter to share about what she's going through and fails to listen.

In the end, everything gets sorted out. But while things are peachy on screen, the real world proves to be a different arena as the show gets tagged as racist by mogul Donald Trump.

Trump took to his Twitter account to share his thoughts about the show, saying: "How is ABC Television allowed to have a show entitled 'Black-ish?' Can you imagine the furor of a show, 'Whiteish!' Racism at highest level?"

While some shared Trump's sentiments, others reacted differently. One user said "Unlike racism, Donald Trump might actually go away if we ignore him. #Blackish"

Will Trump's comment and the backlash he received for it contribute to sparking people's interest in the show? We'll find out when it returns on Thursday on ABC.
