Upcoming HTC Phones 2014: New Desire 'Eye' Will Not Be A Midranger Anymore, Rumored Specs Include Snapdragon 801, 5.2" Display, 13MP Front Shooter

If you are on the look out for upcoming HTC phones for 2014 even at this time of the year, then you will definitely want to check this rumored device.

According to a report by GSM Arena, new leakster @upleaks has posted another new HTC device that runs the 'Eye' branding.

While there is reportedly a new smartphone that will be a much better version of the One M8 flagship released earlier this year, it looks like th Taiwanese manufacturer wants to update its Desire lineup as well.

Dubbed as the HTC Desire Eye, this new rumored handset will allegedly boast a 5.2-inch display at Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a 2GB RAM, and a Snapdragon 801 from Qualcomm.

Other specs include IPX7 certification for water resistance, a new selfie camera app, and a 2,400mAh battery.

However, the most interesting rumor about the Desire Eye is its alleged 13MP selfie (front) camera and is paired with dual-LED flash. For people who love taking selfies anywhere and anytime of the day, this should be the best option in the market if it would actually be launched.

In the report, the Taiwanese manufacturer will unveil both the HTC One M8 Eye and Desire Eye at its upcoming New York even on October 8.

While all of these juicy details are certainly promising, considering that the One M8 Eye has already allegedly gone through a popular benchmarking app, we still cannot confirm anything unless the announcement comes from HTC itself.
