New ‘Ouija’ TV Spots Revealed! Can ‘Bates Motel’ Actress Olivia Cooke Carry Ouija Board Horror Film To Number One Box Office Weekend Opening Before Halloween? [VIDEO]

Among a slew of other fall film TV spots released this week, Universal added several new TV spots for its upcoming horror film, "Ouija." The new teen horror flick stars "Bates Motel" actress Olivia Cooke. A few box office analysts have released their forecasts for how the film will do when it opens on October 23rd, the weekend before Halloween, and so far all the predictions point to number one.

Olivia Cooke, who just finished her role in the second season of "Bates Motel" earlier this year, recently spoke to Collider about her similarly dark themed role in "Ouija."

"If I love the character, then that's all that matters to me. It doesn't really matter what genre it is. But, I think I'm definitely moving away from horror now. I think it does take its toll on you."

If Cooke is right, it's no wonder that James Wan, director of successful horror films "Saw" and "The Conjuring" is also moving on from horror films.

Nevertheless, before Cooke does, she'll get a chance to see what horror fans think of her performance in "Ouija" in a few weeks. Today Universal released several new TV spots, which ask if fans will say ‘yes.'

According to Bloody Disgusting, "Stiles White directs the supernatural thriller that is produced by Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller (‘The Purge', ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre', ‘Friday the 13th') alongside Blumhouse Productions' Jason Blum (‘Paranormal Activity', ‘Insidious' series, ‘The Purge'), Bennett Schneir (Battleship) and Hasbro.

With this many studios involved, what are the chances that Olivia Cooke and cast can garner enough for a number one box office opening?

According to Box Office Pro chances are quite high. They predict that the film will indeed open number one on October 23rd and will take in $24 million. Since "Ouija" is opening right before Halloween and also won't have much competition from "Dracula Untold," there's a good chance Universal can call "Ouija" another success.
Until the final numbers are in however, fans will have to settle for the new TV spots, which are available to view below.
