Nicole Scherzinger New Single `Run’ Debuts Live As Former Pussycat Dolls Singer Takes on Cats and Bulimia [VIDEO]

Nicole Scherzinger, X Factor host and singer, is expanding her repertoire. The Pussycat Doll  is hitting the West End theater circuit in a revival of Andrew Lloyd Weber's "Cats" and her a new album coming out.

Nicole Scherzinger new single "Run" is a slow burning torch song that sounds even better live. The former Pussycat Doll performed her new US single "Run" on Access Hollywood Live on September 30.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Scherzinger said she wants to "create something beautiful from ... something that wasn't once so beautiful ... I think we all have our own big fat lies. [I have been] battling with an eating disorder for many years and recently, in the past few years, it's come out and people were talking to me about that ... [That fight] is a big part of who I am and what has gotten me here. And what has gotten me to this place of strength."

Nicole Scherzinger was cast as Grizabella in a West End debut in a revival of "Cats." The famous play by Andrew Lloyd Webber was one of the West End's longest-running shows. Nicole Scherzinger in the award-winning musical. "Cats" returns to London for a 12-week run starting on Dec. 6. Cats is based on TS Eliot's book "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats."

"I am really thrilled to be making my West End debut in such an iconic show," Scherzinger said in a statement. "I grew up listening to Andrew's extraordinary music and was lucky enough, a couple of years ago, to record Cats' beautiful song Memory."

This is not the first time the once and future Pussycat Dolls performer has performed music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Scherzinger sang the title song of The Phantom of the Opera at its 25th Anniversary celebration at the Royal Variety Performance in 2011.

Last year, Nicole sang "Don't Cry For Me Argentina," from the Andrew Lloyd Webber play "Evita," on the ITV show "Andrew Lloyd Webber: 40 Musical Years in 2013."

Scherzinger studied theater and dance at the Wright State University in Ohio.

Scherzinger will join Cameron Ball, Kathryn Barnes, Cassie Clare, Ross Finnie, Charlene Ford, Adam Lake, Paul F Monaghan, Joel Morris,Natasha Mould and Benjamin Mundy.

Cats opened on Broadway in 1982 and ran for 18 years. It went on to become the second longest-running show in Broadway history after The Phantom of the Opera.

Previews for Cats begin Dec. 6 2014 at the London Palladium. The show opens on 11 December 2014 and runs until 28 February 2015.Big Fat Lie will be released on 20 October. Its lead single, Your Love, reached No 6 on the UK singles chart.
