iPad Pro Rumors: Legendary 12.9" Tablet Rumored To Get The Most Powerful Apple Chipset, Tipped To Boast 2K And 4K Resolution Options

If the iPad Pro will indeed become an actual product, then it could be one of the most leaked devices in recent memory. As early as 2013, there were already speculations and rumors about an Apple tablet that boasts a much bigger display than current models.

In connection to these rumors and without Apple releasing an official statement or launch date for the rumored device, Samsung has pulled the trigger too early in developing a potential rival to the 12.9-inch iPad.

Unfortunately, the entire project, the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, missed its target badly.

That's not what Apple has in mind for sure, and if it is indeed working on the rumored iPad Pro, then it would surely be top-notch.

According to a recent report by MacWorld UK, the alleged slate will feature the most powerful Apple chipset ever created, dubbed as the A8X.

In the report, this chipset may be included in the new iPad Air 2 as well, which is set to make its debut this month. Apparently, the chipset will enable Apple's slates to become a lot better in handling and managing multi-tasking features and functions.

Another farfetched rumor is the inclusion of a detachable keyboard, which makes the iPad Pro a 12.9-inch tablet/laptop hybrid. With a screen that is bigger than the 11.6-inch MacBook Air, this is certainly possible.

Lastly, and probably the most outrageous of the recent rumors is the screen resolution options for the iPad Pro which include 2K and 4K. Right now, 2K is the most probable option for the iPad Pro because its bigger screen may not be able to hide its smaller count of pixels found in Retina.

In the report, the iPad Pro is rumored to be launched early next year.
