Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Affordable Smartphone Lineup Expected To Help Struggling Company Sell Up To 8 Million Units This Year, That Number May Be Higher In 2015

Are you still looking for upcoming Android phones for 2014 because the ones announced last month were either too expensive or not available for purchase in your country right away?

If your answer is yes, then you may want to check out the upcoming lineup of Asus' ZenFones. However, they would not be available until the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in early January next year.

In case you missed them, the Taiwanese-based manufacturer launched three different ZenFones, each boasting 4, 5 and 6 inches of screen real estate respectively.

At the time of launch, the company predicted that it would ship 5 million units of these smartphones by the end of the year.

However, in a new report by DigiTimes analysts believe that the Taiwanese company would be able to ship 7.5 up to 8 million of these smartphones by the end of the year.

The secret lies on the ZenFones' affordable price tag and decent specs ranging from midrange to flagship. And with pricing as low as only $100 for the ZenFone 4, and $300 for the Zenfone 6, it definitely serves consumers well, especially those who want to experience Android but are on a tight budget.

In the report by Phone Arena, the Taiwan-based manufacturer could be releasing an in-between version or versions of the ZenFone. In fact, a 5.5-inch phablet is allegedly already under way.

In connection to this, we should not be surprised if the next Asus ZenFones will pack 4.5, 5.5, and a whopping 6.5 inches of screen.

Asus may be struggling in the PC department, but its mobile division is holding up season. Aside from exceeding expectations for this year, analysts believe the company would ship around 16 million smartphones around the world in 2015.
