Wu-Tang Clan's New Album Finally Slated; A Better Tomorrow To Be Released Via Portable Speaker

Wu-Tang Clan's new album and the group's long-awaited comeback has been slated.

According to a report from The Guardian, Wu-Tang clan's new album called "A Better Tomorrow" will not be available for download and will only be purchased via a boombox speaker.

The record, which is scheduled to be released on December 2, will be offered as a limited edition special version of Boombotix's speakers, which will be called Wu-edition Boombot Rex.

Hip-hop producer RZA explained the concept in an interview with Billboard magazine, saying, "I had the idea pop up into my head for a while, about music being kind of disconnected to us. Of being so digitised and accessible, but yet not tangible. But this thing here, a tangible item, like your old Walkman or your old cassette, or your old record, that's what this is bringing back."

The device will reportedly allow users to play music files from any Bluetooth device. Eight songs from the group's new studio effort will come embedded on the device as well as two instrumentals which are not part of the album, and a songcalled "Big Horn B." It will only be available iva Zumiez.com.

RZA also shared details about the album production-wise, saying: "It's a record to me that merges the way music was made in the classic essencence; in an analog way. As well as emerging what's going down the digital way. All the entire 10 Clan members are on it."

He then explained what the inspiration was for Wu-Tang Clan's new album. "The album has a small concept in a sense, musically it travels from a guy who is going through difficulties, tries to find himself, gets involved with some violence, some troubles, but then realizes that it's best sometimes to walk away from the past and all the bad times and maybe work on making his life better, and making a better tomorrow."
