Sony Xperia Z Ultra Review: Specs Of Android Handset Incl. 6.4-inch Display, Quad-Core Processor; Oversized Smartphone A Head Turner

Sony Xperia Z Ultra review: The Android phablet Sony Xperia Z Ultra feature a 6.4-inch display, Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, powered with 2GB of RAM. It has an Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS out of the box.

Based on reviews, the unit is proving to be head turner and amongst phablets, this is one Android device that does deliver in value and performance.

Proving to be a handful, this handset has a measurement of .06 x 3.63 x 0.26 inches and a weight of 212 grams. Aside from the massive size, we definitely can’t ignore its impressive black glass and high gloss body, front and back—the fine details that give this handset a premium and solid finish. Plus, it is also IP58 certified dust proof and water resistant. Top that Nexus 7 and Samsung Mega.

Aside from its classy look, the Xperia Z Ultra’s most evident advantage is its monster screen: a 6.4-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of 344 ppi, with an additional shatter proof glass protection. It may appear too big for some, but for movie buffs and gamers, this is just the right size that they have been waiting for. Coupled with a sound performance of its processor, nothing could go wrong with this baby.

The problem is when you turn on its camera, and 8 MP primary shooter with 3264 x 2448 pixels and no LED flash. Meanwhile, its front camera is 2 MP. It is really a disappointment that in what the Xperia Z Ultra exceeded in size, it lacked in camera.

Still, the Sony Xperia Z Ultra is still a head turner, not only because of its size, but also because of its premium design, quality display, and sound performance.
