HTC Nexus 9 Release Date Is Almost Here, 8.9" Slate Appears In Taiwanese Certification Site, Packs Most Powerful Graphics Chip In The Industry

After the announcements of the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and the the Galaxy Note 4 from Samsung, it is now time for Google to make its own announcements. And two of its new devices are set at the HTC Nexus 9 release date sometime this month.

The bigger of the these devices though, is probably one of the most awaited in the tablet business.

In a report by Phone Arena, the new Nexus 9 has already passed the certification agency, the National Communications Commission in Taiwan (equivalent of the FCC in the US). This means that the device is indeed entering its final phase of development before being unveiled this coming event from Google.

Based from what we know so far, the HTC-made Nexus will be the first tablet developed by the Taiwanese manufacturer since 2011, so we're wondering how the company will deal with the device's design and build factor.

But knowing HTC, that may not seem to be a problem, especially that it continues to produce the best Android smartphones in the business.

As for the specs, the Nexus 9 or X, is tipped to pack an 8.9-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, 3GB of RAM and a 5MP primary camera at the back.

However, what separates it from other phones and tablets in the market is the inclusion of NVIDIA's latest Tegra K1 chipset, which is probably the fastest and most powerful graphics chip in the market today.

Both Google and HTC will definitely benefit if this slate becomes a best-seller in markets this holiday season.
