Blackberry Passport Specs, Release Date: New BB Handset Reportedly Gets Gold Edition, But May Not Debut In English-Speaking Countries Right Away

One of the most awaited smartphones for Blackberry fans is the Blackberry Passport and with specs that are top-notch and updated, most of us can't wait for the actual release date of the smartphone for our respective markets.

However, if you want to get an even better-looking Passport, then you may want to hold out your purchases for a while.

In a report from Phone Arena, the Canada-based manufacturer has allegedly prepared a new gold edition for the smartphone.

The phone does not pack gold all over. Instead, the manufacturer has just switched the metal chassis and frame to gold to make the phone more classy and certainly an eyecandy for gadget geeks who also flaunt their devices as a fashion accessory.

In case this is your first time to read something about the Blackberry Passport, it packs a 4.5-inch display with 1440 x 1440 resolution, 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 801 chipset and, 32GB of built-in memory, and 13MP of camera.

The phone has just been launched in some markets and has already sold out twice, the first selling 200,000 units in just a few hours, while we haven't received any figures yet for the second sell out.

Aside from the Blackberry Passport flagship, other smartphones which would be released later this year include the Porche design, and the Blackberry Classic.
