Criminal Minds Season 10: Jennifer Love Hewitt is now solving crimes on "Criminal Minds" in season 10 of the CBS procedural.

For five seasons, Hewitt starred as Melinda Gordon in "Ghost Whisperer." Jennifer Love Hewitt is officially a member of the BAU. 

Jennifer Love Hewitt told Zap2i "This is totally a different thing than I've ever done before - and one of the first projects I haven't also been a producer on, putting it together from the word 'go' and shouldering all that responsibility. It's sort of nice to be able to go to someone else's house as a guest and play by their rules."

Criminal Minds' executive producer Erica Messer told Mashable magazine "She's got a lot of Jennifer to her, and she's a great asset to the team. And she has undercover experience that our team hasn't had; it's a skill set that's specific and different."

Hewitt said she was "not prepared" to return to work so soon after becoming mother to 10-month-old daughter, Autumn James Hallisay. "I'm definitely sort of flying by the seat of my pants," she told E! "You know, you're a mom and everything form the moment they're in your arms is flying by the seat of your pants. So you get very good at it very quickly..[Autumn] is being really brave and I'm being brave and we're just sort of figuring it out."

The season premiere of 'Criminal Minds' was on Oct 1 and fans loved the fact that Jennifer Love Hewitt joined the cast. Hewitt's character lures a pedophile into a trap of FBI agents with charm. 

Jennifer Love Hewitt  told E! "When I got the call, I was in my sweatpants, with no makeup, making stuffed bell peppers in my kitchen, where I've been for a while post-baby."

Jennifer Love Hewitt played in "I Know What You Did Last Summer," the sequel "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer," "Heartbreakers," with Sigourney Weaver, Gene Hackman and Ray Liotta, "The Tuxedo," opposite Jackie Chan, "Garfield" and "Garfield 2: A Tale of Two Kitties." 

Episode 2, entitled Burn, will air tonight, October 8.
