It's been nine months since Selena Gomez cancelled her Australian tour in December 2013. We didn't expect her to take this much time off from music as even after nine months, she is still not working!

Has the 22-year-old actress and singer fully retired from the fame game? It's seems like the triple threat is apparently more interested in Justin Beiber than Selena's career. A report by HollywoodLife.com explains why she is taking so much time off.

Though we would love to see Selena return to work, a source informed HollywoodLife.com that this probably might take at least a few more months. The insider revealed, "She made the decision to take this year off from work, but it was supposed to be so that she could focus on herself and getting healthy," the source further added, "Unfortunately it's turned into being all about Justin and her health has actually suffered, it hasn't been good for her."

Why Selena would need a break from the limelight is quiet justifiable but we miss her and would love to see her return to work soon.

Apparently, Selena's family too is urging her to return to work again but the reasons are not what you might think!

The source reported, "Selena's family would love to see her get back to work because it would give her something besides Justin to focus on and they know that being creative makes her happy. But at the same time they don't want to force her to do anything she doesn't want to do, she's been working full time since she was a kid so it's totally her right to take some time off."

No doubt, Selena has been a working actress since she made her debut at the age of 10 years appearing as Gianna in Barney & Friends, so we can understand why she might need some time off, however, we would love to see her perform again soon!
