HTC News 2014: This Revolutionary Camera Will Change The Way You Take Pictures And Record Videos, Gets Odd Design

HTC news 2014: Are you getting tired of the old camera you always use, or do you think the camera in your smartphone is not enough for your needs? Then you definitely need to check this out.

During the Double Exposure event of HTC earlier today, people thought the 'double' meant two smartphones, but it turned out the other device is a portable camera.

Based on the image, it does not look anything like a camera, and instead looks like a hideous tube.

However, in the report by Phone Arena, the device is actually a camera that can take pictures, and even record videos.

Dubbed as the HTC RE, the device is referred to as a 'remarkable little camera' and is capable of taking images even when it is not connected to any smartphone or other devices.

The user will just hold the tube 'stem' with the four fingers while the thumb rests on the huge button behind the camera sensor. In the report, the user would only click the button once for image capture while a prolonged push would trigger the video recording function.

The HTC RE boasts a 16MP camera that can shoot 1080p clip videos and also capable of slo-mo clips at 720p. The small device is water resistant and certified IP57 which means it can be submerged in one meter deep water for 30 minutes.

The device also has some connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a microUSB port for data transfers. There is an 8GB microSD card included, though the slot can support up to 128GB of storage. It is powered by a 820mAh battery that is capable 1200 16MP shots and up to an hour and 40 minutes of video recording.

In the report, the HTC RE connects with a smartphone whether it is an Android or iOS-powered device, which means this little guy will cater to more users in the market.
