Jennifer Lawrence has officially shelled out $8.2 million for a posh property in Beverly Hills. Lawrence's real estate splurge can be deemed as a reward for her hard work. The property was listed last year as $7.85 million which suggests that the 24-year-old might have competed with other potential buyers.

The property has five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms. The property boasts 5,500-square-feet of French-inpired decors. Floors were reportedly newly-installed. Prior to Lawrence, the house was owned by film and television producer Sydney Holland who's also the girlfriend of billionaire Summer Redstone.

Out of the five bedrooms, two are guest rooms whreas one is a spacous master suite which comes with its own walk-in closet. The fourth bedroom actually doubles as a dressing room with salon-like facilities while the last bedroom "serves as a sitting room" as per the property listing.

Apart from a floral courtyard, Jennifer Lawrence's home also has a swimming pool and spa. Prior to Holland, the house was owned by Jessica Simpson. She lived in the property when she parted ways with then husband Nick Lachey. Other stars who owned the home include Ellen DeGeneres, Paul Hogan, and Rick Yorn.

Lawrence's boyfriend, Chris Martin, also bought a home this month which happened to be across former wife Gwyneth Paltrow's home, reports claim. The Coldplay crooner reportedly purchased the house with five bedrooms and seven baths for $6.75 million to spend more time with his two children with Paltrow - Apple, 10, and Moses, 8.
