SXSW 2015: Epik High, Crayon Pop, Hitchhiker Will Headline K-Pop Night Out 2015

On January 7, the organizers of South by Southwest (SXSW) announced the lineup for the third K-pop Night Out. YG Entertainment’s hip-hop trio Epik High will headline the event along with Crayon Pop and SM Entertainment’s Hitchhiker.

Epik High had a remarkable return to music with their 2014 comeback album “Shoebox.” This will be their first appearance at SXSW. Crayon Pop has received worldwide acclaim for their hit “Bar Bar Bar.” This will mark their U.S. return following their opening act appearances for Lady Gaga’s Artpop tour.

SM Entertainment’s producer and songwriter Choi Jin Woo is also included in the lineup. Choi Jin Woo delivered the head-turning video “11” in 2014. He will appear at SXSW as his alter ego, Hitchhiker. The electronic dance sound of Hitchhiker will definitely shake up the evening of Korean music.

Previously announced SXSW 2015 acts from Korea include The Barberettes. The Barberettes are a vocal trio that evokes the bygone era of sixties girl groups.

K-pop Night Out will be held at Elysium on Thursday, March 19.

SXSW 2015 badges and hotel information can be found on the SXSW 2015 site.
