SBS "K-Pop Star" returns with Season 2 today.

The three judges, Yang Hyun Suk, Park Jin Young and BoA will reprise their roles and there are talks of overqualified contestants, ready to surpass the legacy of those from Season 1.

In Season 1, the judges were really able to find the 'true' stars with their expertise and experience. Beginning with Baek Ah Yeon, all of the TOP 3 contestants debuted and swept the music charts. It proved the judges' ability to spot talent.

The three judges will continue their sharp observations and will surprise the viewers. They will give very specific feedback to each of the contestants but they hope to add more entertaining elements to the show.

This season drew 5 times the amount of contestants as the first season and this means that the quality of the competition has also gone up. Not only are this year's contestants good at singing but many of them are able to write their own songs as well.

There will be musical prodigies who will surprise everyone and the general consensus is that the contestant pool is much more qualified than last year and will put on a good show.

Viewers will also be able to see some contestants from Season 1, who was eliminated during a very close competition. They will come back to the competition after working hard for a year and will hope to surprise the judges.
