The reports about the ugly divorce between Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon might be false as the "America's Got Talent" host claimed that the "Touch My Body" singer will always be the love of his life.

During an interview with Meredith Vieira Show, as shared by E! News, Nick Cannon said that the divorce with Mariah Carey was just "one of those things."

"I'm a hopeless romantic too. Through this learning process, you never say never," he said. "To me one thing I know, that will always be the love of my life, always be my family and that's never going to change."

Nick Cannon also uttered the "never say never" line when TMZ cameras caught up with him stepping out of a bar.

The cameraman asked him for advice at first, "I'm 30 years old, right? You're 34. I was wondering like, what's the one piece you can give me on love?"

"Go for it. Love hard," Mariah Carey's ex said.

The cameraman then segued into his real question, "Is there any chance of reconciliation between you and Mariah?"

Nick Cannon replied, "Never say never," before laughing.

Meanwhile, the "America's Got Talent" also slammed all the "negativity" surrounding his divorce from Mariah Carey.

"It's extremely disappointing when you see that people just want to perpetuate negativity when there is no negativity even involved," he told Meredith Vieira.

"They want to make up stuff and create things. You kind of get to that place where, I've always been the most open and honest person but I understand kind of playing it close to the vest because when you start to feed into it and there are so many false items and people just want to speculate then you don't want to say anything at all," he said.
