Katie Holmes rocked the rocker chic look as daughter Suri opted for a more girly look in a pink dress during the red carpet premiere of Tom Cruise's ex's directorial debut, "Eternal Princess," on Friday.

"Katie wore a fitted white T-shirt, which she wore underneath a trendy, gold-studded black, sleeveless vest," said Daily Mail. "The former Dawson's Creek star coupled those with a pair of skin-tight black jeans, and chic black pumps."

"The mother-of-one kept her accessories simple for the occasion, sporting a small gold bracelet on each wrist," it added.

Meanwhile, Katie Holmes' daughter with Tom Cruise, Suri, wore a pink dress underneath a white cardigan and gladiator sandals. She also carried around a stuffed cow.

 According to the synopsis from the Tribeca Film Guide, "Eternal Princess" is about "14-year-old Nadia Comaneci became an overnight sensation after she accomplished what no one had ever done before in professional gymnastics-she scored a perfect 10. Eternal Princess is an intimate look at her inner struggles, personal dedication, and greatest success."

In an interview with E! News, Katie Holmes said of her film, "Eternal Princess," "Nadia is such world icon. She achieved perfection at 14 and I've always been in awe and she's also been a huge hero of mine."

But Tom Cruise's ex also claimed that Nadia Comaneci also taught her something in their many conversations.

"Nadia is such a wonderful human big, perfection on all levels and just cool and funny and she's a great mom. She's taught me that it's great to have huge success but the most important thing is her family." Katie Holmes added.

On directing, Tom Cruise's ex Katie Holmes said, "I really enjoy the process of directing. I like hearing different people's stories. I like to hear what people have to say."

"I'm excited to get behind the camera again and being a part of telling a narrative and really listening to the actors."
