Ariana Grande and her boyfriend Big Sean have allegedly split up. Us Weekly broke the news after representatives from the two celebrities confirmed it. 

According to a statement released to the source cited above, the two are still on good terms with each other. "They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends," the statement read. "We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time."

The source further reported that their insider added that they split "quietly" and "amicably" weeks earlier. There is no third party that caused the break up, but rather, it is their busy schedules that have made their relationship difficult to continue. "They made the decision to part ways because their conflicting touring schedules would keep them apart over the next year," the source revealed.

Ariana Grande and Big Sean have been dating for eight months before this announcement of their alleged breakup surfaced.

The rapper had been very open about his feelings for Ariana in the interviews he had given to the media. In a guest appearance on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, Big Sean shared that things were going quite well in their relationship. "That Ariana is very, very special," he gushed. "She's very special to me."

"Everything she has going on is good with her, everything I have going on is good with me, everything between me and her is good, and I'm just going to leave it at that," Big Sean added.

He also revealed in an interview with Billboard that the process of being a couple did not happen in an instant between him and the "Love Me Harder" singer.

"Ever since, we've been friendly, hung out once in a while, and it just evolved," he shared. "I respect her-so I don't think I should talk about it."

The two have been known to post photos of themselves in their social media accounts. And recently, they hinted at how they still cared for each other even after their split.

Big Sean posted on Twitter last April 4, "Just know I love u and I care for ya." And Grande cryptically responded to this via her own tweet last Thursday, "Love u babes the most. You just can't imagine."
