Derek Hough has been injured following the spring break episode of his show "Dancing with the Stars."

"He has been diagnosed with a broken toe on his right foot and sprains to his left ankle on both the inside and outside aspects and a bone bruise on the same ankle," According to his rep. "Derek will remain in Los Angeles this week to rehab his injuries."

A report from Entertaintment Weekly said that Hough will not be present at the New York Spring Spectacular at the Radio City Music Hall in New York. He might also miss the rest of the season of "Dancing with the Stars."

Instagram posts by Hough himself confirmed this news. He posted a photo on his Instagram account showing injuries on both of his feet. "Just getting home from the hospital," Hough wrote. "Not the best of news. I'm in utter disbelief." The "Dancing with the Stars" regular has since deleted the photo.

In place of it, he posted another photo on Instagram with the quote, "Your setback is a platform for your comeback." 

Hough's friend, Mark Ballas, also posted on his social media account about their experience in the emergency room.

"Long night in the ER with @derekhough nothing worse than seeing a fellow dancer get hurt especially your brother," Ballas captioned a photo of him and Hough in a wheelchair. "But he had me @bcjean and @corkyballas there by his side. #fam."

Meanwhile, Maria Menounos posted a photo of a flight of stairs in her Instagram, with the caption, "Really angry at this stupid stair for huring our @derekhough out last night. Ugh..."

There are seven remaining dance couples on "Dancing with the Stars," and Hough and partner Nastia Liukin are among them. Liukin, an Olympic gold medalist for gymnastics, will be practicing with Sasha Farber, following Hough's injuries.
