Demi Lovato And Boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama Going Strong; 'Skyscraper' Singer Details How 'That 70s Show' Actor Helped Her Stay Sober

Demi Lovato and her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama's relationship seems to be going strong. According to a report from Entertainment Tonight, the "Skyscraper" singer detailed how the "That 70s Show" actor helped her stay sober.

"There were some moments when it was off and on when I was struggling with my issues," the former Disney star admitted on Sydney's Kyle and Jackie O show to KIIS 106.5.

"What he would do is he wouldn't enable me so he'd say, 'I can't be around if you're not going to get your stuff together.'"

"It made me fight for it," Demi Lovato shared about her boyfriend.

"He's a very, very good guy," she added.

Last March, Demi Lovato celebrated with her boyfriend her third year of being free from drugs and alcohol. According to People, the 22-year-old singer was even surprised by the 35-year-old actor during a benefit concert.

"My heart is broken that he couldn't be here tonight," Demi Lovato initially said, not knowing her boyfriend was around. Wilmer Valderrama then came out, and Demi Lovato looked shocked and as her boyfriend kissed her in front of the audience.

"I just got off a plane from Toronto, and there's like a million things to say," Wilmer Valderrama said.

"It's been a long time since we've seen a role model like her. It's been a long time to see somebody who has the courage to be exactly who she wants to be."

"If you're going to take away anything from tonight, walk away with the understanding that, from today, life will get better," he said.

According to a related report from Page Six. Wilmer Valderrama even posted an Instagram tribute to celebrate his girlfriend's sobriety anniversary.

"It is now 3 years since you said: I am more important then any past, demon, disorder or addiction, where you decided that YOUR life was worth living while loving yourself," Wilmer Valderrama posted.

"And I'm sure glad you did... I knew then the woman you've become now."

"I am proud and honored to be front row to see the world you are about to change. I love you," he wrote.
