Gina Rodriguez can afford to be picky after she was nominated for the Golden Globes for her role in "Jane the Virgin." But is the allegation true, though?

In an interview with HuffPost Live, Gina Rodriguez claimed that "Jane the Virgin" allowed her to have some realizations and that means getting more choosy with the projects she picks.

"I think I've discovered the kind of woman that I want to be amidst this beautiful blessing - [it's] craziness," she said.

She added, "I think in this industry we get to a point in our careers, which I definitely did not have before Jane, where people are willing to do a lot more and willing to say 'yes' when maybe they should be saying 'no.'

In February, Gina Rodriguez graced the cover of Latina magazine showing a lot of cleavage. The photo was racy enough for the 30-year-old who confessed to growing up with conservative parents who initially were opposed to her choice to become an actress.

"Education was definitely number one, and that's why acting scared my parents. They were like, 'What are you going to do with that? How are you going to make money?'"

"I have two older sisters: One's an investment banker and the other is a doctor," she said. "We all did good until I came around, and they were like, 'Actor? No you're trying to be a lawyer.' And I was like, 'I'm not trying to be anything with law, but I'll be one on TV."'

Gina Rodriguez has been busy promoting "Jane the Virgin" and on Wednesday she visited SiriusXM for more press work wearing a multi-colored dress and nude stilettos.

Meanwhile, Gina Rodriguez credited her boyfriend, Henri Esteve, for keeping her grounded even with the huge success of "Jane the Virgin."

"I just know that I have a very strong [and] supportive boyfriend. He's an amazing artist himself who respects the craft," she said.

"He supports me and I think that's all that matters. We're very honest and there's a lot of communication. He knows that my priority is Jane and him and family."
