Miley Cyrus Wardrobe Malfunction at 2013 Grammys: Singer Defies CBS Request For 'No Sideboob' [PHOTO]

The 2013 Grammy hadn't even started Sunday when Miley Cyrus started causing a ruckus.

Ignoring an official CBS email sent to stars attending the 55th Annual Grammy Awards that called "Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts...problematic," Cyrus attended the Clive Davis & The Recording Academy's 2013 Pre-Grammy Gala in a black Emilio Pucci mini dress with a see-through inlay.

As if that wasn't enough of a headache for the CBS network brass, there was also a brief wardrobe malfunction when Cyrus's right nipple fell out. The nipple appeared to be covered by a plastic shield.

The 20-year-old singer and star of the Disney Channel sitcom Hannah Montana also wore over-the-knee black Versace boots that were probably not noticed by many attending the event.

A reporter with MTV called the dress "So eye-popping, that we could literally sit here all afternoon and break it down for you, piece by piece."

"First to break Grammys no-sideboob rule: Miley Cyrus," tweeted TwitchyTeam.

"Making a sideboob of herself! Miley Cyrus shows off more than she bargained," wrote user @titdemon84.

However, Kendra Lynne thinks that people should lay off Miley.

"Miley already getting flak for her sideboob at a Grammy pre-party'" Lynne tweeted. Sideboob or not, from the front that dress looked AMAZING."

Containing the subject heading "55th GRAMMYS: Standard And Practice Wardrobe Advisory," the email sent to Grammy attendees set out strict guidelines about how they should dress at Grammy events.

"Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered," the email said. "Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack."

Maybe Miley didn't get the memo.
