Paris Jackson is not engaged to boyfriend Chester Castellaw despite earlier rumors prompted by the bling on her finger.

According to Radar Online, there's no truth to the engagement reports.

"Chester is absolutely in love with Paris and I am sure that he would love to marry her," the insider told the tabloid. "That ring that she is wearing is a promise ring that he got her."

"Paris and Jackson are absolutely not engaged," the insider claimed, adding, "They are both so young and there is no way that Paris' family would allow an engagement to happen."

Jermaine Jackson, however, doesn't seem to mind if the rumored engagement of Paris Jackson to boyfriend Chester Castellaw is true.

TMZ described Jermaine Jackson's attitude about the whole engagement issue as "laissez-faire."

When the TMZ cameraman caught up with the former Jackson 5 member if he knows something about Paris Jackson and Chet Castellaw being engaged, he replied, "I don't know."

"No, listen, you never know about love," he added as he hopped into his Ferrari.

"If she was married now, would you be good with that?"

"Yeah," Jermaine Jackson said as the Ferrari sped off.

Paris Jackson and boyfriend Chester Castellaw, who reportedly comes from an affluent family, allegedly hooked up after her return from the Utah boarding school where she's rehabbing following her attempted suicide.

According to Radar Online, Chester Castellaw is "an incredibly kind and sensitive young man who has been nothing but supportive and understanding," as described by Paris Jackson's family.

"Her family seems to like him and they are happy that he comes from a privileged background in Beverly Hills because they are very protective over the children's inheritance and they want to make sure that he is with her for the right reasons," the source told the tabloid.
