Portia De Rossi, Ellen DeGeneres Work On Marriage To Avoid Divorce? Talk Show Host Set To 'Retire' In 2017

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are allegedly on the verge of a breakup and the talk show host is set to leave her self-titled show when her contract expires in 2017 in order to save their marriage.

According to the article from OK! magazine, per Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the comedian will reportedly pack her bags along with her wife to move to Australia.

The breakup rumors that hounded Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have escalated in the past few weeks.

"The 57-year-old comedian is tiring of Hollywood and wants to head down under to focus on a quiet family life with her wife and Australia native Portia de Rossi. Ellen has enjoyed her time in the limelight, but she doesn't need that forever. She wants them to ride off into the sunset together," the source claimed.

But Ellen DeGeneres already blasted the breakup rumors that surround her marriage to "Scandal" star Portia de Rossi.

"I'm just more flabbergasted by the fact that someone needs to make up a story," she said on the Today show in March this year.

During the same interview, the comedian host also touched on raising babies with Portia de Rossi.

"I love kids. But that's such a big commitment. And it seems long-term. It seems like a commitment that you have to stick with," she said. "And I just don't know if I can - it's too risky."

"Like, what if I don't like the kid? What if it turns out that it's not as cute as I wanted or as talented? I'm gonna compare it to all these kids that I have on this show that are so smart and so funny. And I'm like, 'You are nowhere near these kids I had on today. Sit down and look at this kid I just had on! Do you know all those presidents?"' Ellen DeGeneres quipped.
