Apple Cuts Prices of MacBooks To Increase Purchases; Down 21% In Laptop Sales

Apple cuts prices of it's MacBook pro laptops while giving a boost to certain internal specs. Apple has experienced a decline in their sales of laptops and are hoping to re-interest customers by lowering prices and increasing tech specs. Although the company sold 4.1 million laptops during the Decemeber quarter, that was still a 21% drop from the year before. 

Apple cuts the prices of its 13-inch MacBook Pro with retina display by $200. The current price of the Apple product is $1499. The 256GB version of this laptop experienced an even greater price cut with a $300 decrease and a boost in the processor clock speed from 2.5GHz to 2.6GHz. 

The 15-inch MacBook Pro with retina display gets a boost to 2.4Ghz from 2.3GHz. The 2.6GHz version of the laptop goes to 2.7GHz and double the RAM with 16GB under the new Apple changes. 

Apple cuts the price of the 256GB version of the MacBook Air. The laptop currently goes for $1399. And, one of the cheapest laptops Apple is offering--13-inch MacBook Pro, goes for $1199. 

The Apple price cuts have been revised on the Apple website.
