French Driver in 125 MPH, No Breaks Car Trapped, Crashes in Belgium

Frank Lecerf that left his home for his weekly supermarket yesterday had ended up on a high-speed car chase in a different country.

The disabled driver became trapped inside his car, designed for disabled drivers that continued to gain speed after the gas pedal stuck. He quickly called the police in his Renault Laguna and warned them of his situation.

Even though Lecerf attempted to use the breaks, it would end up making the car to go faster. Officers quickly cleared the roads and created a protective convoy around the vehicle until the car ran out of fuel and drove it in a ditch.

Lecref was reported to have driven around 150 miles and sped through three toll booths and across the border into Belgium.

"My life flashed before me," he told Le Courrier Picard. "I just wanted it to stop."

He was unhurt, although suffered two minor epileptic seizures. Lecerf has filed a legal complaint against Renault.
