Prof. Bans Fox News For Citation In Her Classroom: Tells Students She'd 'Rather you Print Off An Article From The Onion'

A prof. at West Liberty University in West Virginia released a syllabus this semester that bans Fox News, according to local news station WTOV.

"The tagline Fox News makes me cringe," reads the Fox News hating prof.'s syllabus. "

Fox News posted an alleged copy of the syllabus from prof. Stephanie Wolfe that bans their media group.

It reads:

"DO NOT use:

1) The Onion - this is not news this is literally a parody

2) Fox News - The tagline "Fox News" makes me cringe. Please do not subject me to this biased news station. I would almost rather you print off an article from The Onion."

Yet Robin Capehart, president of West Liberty University defended her school as being, like the Fox News tagline goes---fair and balanced.

"One of our values at West Liberty is to encourage students to go out and inquire and gather information and look at as many different sources as possible on any side, before you reach your opinion," Capehart said. She added, "Any attempt to limit the breadth of a student's ability to investigate is obviously something at which we have a concern."

According to WTOV concerned parents have voiced their displeasure at the prof's Fox News ban. Officials say Prof. Wolfe is a temporary fill in for this year for another prof. on leave.

She might want to start sending out some resumes.
