Cheerleader Makes Crazy Half-Court Shot; 'Everyone Was Going Crazy' [VIDEO]

The cheerleader makes one crazy half-court s-h-o-t.

Over the years, there have been half-court shots made. There have been buzzer-beaters to end quarters or even win games. Some have had the fortune of swishing a shot from no man's land to win cars, money, scholarships and even big, giant checks in Semi-Pro.

Yesterday marked one version of this made-basket that has never been seen before.

"I really don't practice at all," Arnau told the Associated Press in a phone interview.

Ashlee Arnau, a cheerleader at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Miss., made a front-flip half-court shot. It was during halftime of the school's men's basketball game.

It was like a soccer player, inbounding the ball as far as they could. They would do a 360 degree flip, while taking the ball off the ground and tossing it on the field of play.

This cheerleader, who plays soccer and runs track for the university, did that move with some flair. She was able to get land that ball inside the rim.

"Everyone was going crazy," Arnau told the AP. "They were cheering my name."

Arnau has failed in other attempts to sink the basketball. One time she made it during a tournament not held on the home court. It banked in off the backboard.

"I didn't count it because I wanted it to go nothing-but-net," she said. "Tonight, I was really blessed it happened."

The nursing major usually gives it four or five attempts every halftime. The fifth time was the charm and it was the team's last home game of the season to boot.

The Crusaders of William Carey have won six in a row and are currently in first place of their division.

If they are out of timeouts and a buzzer-beater is necessary to win the game, then Arnau might hear her name called.
