Superman and Batman Join Forces to Launch New Comic

Superman and Batman join forces to renew the legendary tandem in comic form.

Superman and Batman will co-headline a new comic from DC Entertainment. Set to debut in June, DC plans to start a new history for Superman and Batman.

History will be rewritten again. The writing will include the famous DC illustrations that readers have been accustomed to seeing.

Headliners for DC since the 1930s, the man of steel and the dark knight will give it-a-go one more time. They've been the attention-grabbers for almost 100 years.

Movies have been created and recreated again, drawing box-office-booms. Toys have been sold all over the world. Any kind of merchandise thinkable has been created with these two super heroes.

"Batman/Superman" will be written by Greg Pak and illustrated by Jae Lee. It will focus on how the two icons first met in the publisher's post launched universe, known as The New 52.

The News 52 symbolized the cancellation of any DC series. There are 52 different comics produced by DC, thus the name.

Superman and Batman will meet for the first time, again.

DC is owned by Time Warner and that's not preventing where this comic series can go.

Pak told the Associated Press that himself and Lee have been given "some real leeway to do some really important storytelling" in the series that will give readers the opportunity to become attached with this from the start.

Superman/Batman premiered in 2003. This was an update of World's Finest Comics, which regularly had the man who can fly and the cape crusader team up.

Since superhero movies continue to demolish ticket sales at box offices, DC will try to capitalize through comics.

Comics were once a dying breed, but are thriving in today's society.
